Board President

Annie is the president of our rescue and the driving force behind everything we do. She is the heart, the hustle, and the home base of our team. From vetting and grooming to organizing, planning, and making the impossible happen—Annie truly does it all. Her love for every dog that comes through our doors is unmatched, but she has a special place in her heart for the mange babies—the ones who need the most love to feel whole again. Without her, none of this would be possible.

Allison Fitzgerald

Board Member & Marketing/Media Lead

Meet Allison – a dedicated board member of our dog rescue and the powerhouse behind our marketing and media efforts. With a heart for rescue and a talent for storytelling, Allison brings our mission to life through eye-catching campaigns, heartfelt posts, and impactful outreach. Whether she’s behind the camera, designing graphics, or crafting compelling messages, Allison ensures every dog’s story gets the attention it deserves. Her creativity, passion, and commitment make her an essential part of our team and a true voice for the voiceless.

Tina Stricklan

Board Member & Operations Support

Tina joined Diamonds in the Ruff in 2021 and has been a vital part of the team ever since. As a board member, she helps with events, keeps the facility in top shape, and steps up to foster when a dog fits in with her pack. She has a deep passion for the dogs who can’t help themselves and is always ready to lend a hand wherever it’s needed. If something needs to get done—you can count on Tina to make it happen.

Karianne Boyle

Board Coordinator

Karianne found her passion for rescuing dogs during COVID! She focuses on the stray dogs who need a chance and helps the rescue find fosters for them!

Sheryl Sinclair

Application Coordinator

Sheryl began fostering around four years ago and has since become an invaluable part of the rescue. As our Application Coordinator, she helps match dogs with the perfect families while also supporting intakes and administering puppy shots. A lifelong dog lover and former veterinary technician, Sheryl has a special place in her heart for pregnant moms and bottle babies—but she’s always ready to help any dog in need.

Nikki Strattman

Lead Foster Coordinator

Meet Nikki, our Diamond’s Lead Foster Coordinator — the heart and hustle behind so many happy tails! Along with the help of her amazing team, Nikki makes sure every foster pup is matched with the perfect temporary home and gets the love and care they need. She juggles logistics, provides nonstop support, and keeps everything running smoothly with warmth and determination. From late-night check-ins to celebrating every adoption, Nikki and her team are the backbone of our foster program — and we’re so lucky to have them!

Stacey Meinen

Volunteer Coordinator

Stacey is our dedicated Volunteer Coordinator who first joined the rescue as a volunteer in early 2023. She quickly became a vital part of the team, drawn to the rescue’s shared mission of putting the dogs first. Stacey loves being part of a community where everyone is focused on saving as many lives as possible and finding each dog the perfect forever home. Now, she helps lead that mission by organizing and supporting our incredible volunteers every step of the way.

Lindsey Gintz

Events Coordinator

Lindsey is our incredible events coordinator, dedicated volunteer, and all-around crafty superstar. Whether she’s planning a fundraiser, fostering pups, or creating something adorable and handmade for our rescue, Lindsey brings heart and creativity to everything she does. She loves fostering all kinds of dogs, but pugs and Frenchies definitely have her heart!

Sara Behal

Merch & Donations Coordinator

Sara is a dedicated volunteer who shares her love for rescue work with her daughter, Scarlet. Together, they make an incredible fostering team—especially for small dogs who need a little extra time, care, and patience to adjust to life in a home. In addition to fostering, Sara keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s in charge of our merchandise, helps organize donations at the barn, and is a dependable presence at nearly every event. Her calm, compassionate energy shines through in everything she does, and we’re so thankful to have her!

Scarlet

Youth Team Leader - Marketing & Media plus Merch

Scarlet is one of our dedicated youth team leaders who plays a vital role in supporting our rescue efforts. She works closely with her mom, Sara, helping manage merchandise and donations to keep things running smoothly. Scarlet is also the creative force behind the adoptable dogs binder you often see at our events, and she actively contributes to our marketing and media team. Alongside her mom, Scarlet fosters small dogs, with a special passion for giving second chances to those who need it most. She’s not afraid to take in the dogs that others might overlook, providing them with the time, patience, and care they need to adjust to life in a loving home.

Zoey

Youth Team Leader - Bottle Baby Caregiver

Zoey is one of our inspiring youth team leaders who brings energy, heart, and a great eye for capturing moments. She fosters puppies with love and patience, helping them grow and shine. Whether she’s guiding younger volunteers or snapping adorable photos of our adoptables, Zoey always shows up with a smile and a “let’s do this” attitude. Her passion for rescue is as strong as her camera skills—and both make a big impact.

Aubree

Youth Team Leader - Puppy Foster

Aubree is one of our dedicated youth team leaders and has been fostering since 2020, caring mostly for puppies and bottle babies. Her passion for animals has inspired her dream of becoming a veterinarian one day. When she’s not helping the tiniest rescues grow strong, she enjoys painting and drawing pictures of Diamonds dogs. Aubree loves being part of Diamonds because it feels like a true community—where everyone helps and supports each other for the sake of the dogs.

Torie Christensen

Youth Team Coordinator

Torie helps place dogs into foster homes during urgent situations, making sure they have a safe place to land when they need it most. She keeps communication flowing across the rescue, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. As Youth Coordinator, Torie works closely with our younger volunteers to create hands-on opportunities in rescue. Her experience as a high school teacher brings a unique perspective, allowing her to guide, educate, and inspire the next generation of animal advocates. She began fostering with the mindset, “If I didn’t, who would?”—a belief that continues to shape her rescue journey. Through her work, Torie has helped countless dogs, mentored future rescuers, and grown into a powerful voice for change in both the classroom and the community.

Leah Cayton-Moore

Neonatal Coordinator & Medical Foster

Leah has been fostering since 2007 and became part of the Diamonds family in 2021. She’s taken on some of the most challenging and rewarding roles—whelping litters, caring for medical cases, and specializing in neonatal puppies. A former board member and current go-to for all things tiny and fragile, Leah brings experience, heart, and a healthy dose of determination to everything she does. She’s raised more than just dogs over the years and isn’t afraid to take on something new—especially if it involves a little friendly competition. While she’s game to try just about anything when it comes to animals, her true passion lies in the neonates and the medical side of rescue.

Mary Ellen Whitehead

Application Coordinator

Mary Ellen is a vital part of the team, handling applications, giving puppy shots, and always stepping up to care for the dogs in boarding whenever needed. She brings heart, humor, and reliability to everything she does—whether it’s helping a family find their perfect match or making sure our pups are healthy and loved while they wait for their forever homes.
