Don’t let his small size fool you — Ralph is a 15-pound dynamo full of love, energy, and personality! This little guy is potty trained, crate trained, and working hard on his manners (he’s learning “sit” and “stay” like a champ!).
Ralph is the definition of a velcro dog — he adores his people and wants to be wherever you are. He can be a bit needy and mouthy when excited, but once he settles, he’s all cuddles and lap time. Because he’s so affectionate and thrives on companionship, Ralph would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day — perfect for a work-from-home family or an active retired couple looking for a devoted sidekick.
Ralph can get a little too enthusiastic around other dogs while on leash — he’ll bark and lunge, so he’ll need an adopter who’s patient, consistent, and diligent about leash control and training. We’re not sure how he feels about cats, and while he seems kid-friendly, he hasn’t been formally tested yet.
This little guy has some high energy and loves to play, but he also enjoys curling up and snoozing next to his favorite human. Because he’s a bit of an escape artist, a secure fenced yard (no gaps or loose spots!) is a must to keep him safe.
Ralph will also need an adopter committed to helping him through his heartworm treatment, which includes crate rest and close monitoring — something he’s already used to and handles well.
