Heidi walks fairly well on a leash and enjoys exploring, but she can be unsure in new situations. It takes time for her to trust, but once she feels safe, her affectionate and playful side begins to bloom. She loves toys, chasing balls, and solving food puzzles like a little canine detective. Heidi had some problems with resource guarding in her last home with other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog!
Her foster describes her as "a sweet girl who wants all your love. It takes her a bit to warm up, but once she feels safe, she will shine! Heidi is sweet and silly and is a low key, lower energy easy girl. Her favorite thing in the world is belly rubs, her second being destuffing her toys. She's been making friends and has accepted many new people into her circle. She's house and crate trained, nondestructive and good when alone for work days. She is such a chill girl and would fit well into many homes. She has also lived with older kids and loved them."
