Sweet Amalee has been on quite a journey — and she’s finally ready to find her forever home! When she first arrived, she was scared of everything and heartbreakingly malnourished. But this resilient girl has blossomed with love and care, and she’s well on her road to healthy!
Now at 45lbs (working toward her ideal 55lbs), Amalee is feeling better every day and learning what it means to be safe, loved, and happy. She’s a gentle girl who adores snuggling up with her humans and curling into your lap like she’s trying to melt right into your heart.
Amalee is dog-friendly — though she can be shy at first. She just needs a little time and patience to decompress in a new environment. Once she realizes she’s safe, her sweet, submissive personality shines through. She’s also kid-friendly, but still has some puppy-like mouthiness that we’re helping her work on. She’s already potty trained, loves to chase balls, and is always up for a good chew session with her favorite bone.
