Magic is a handsome pup with a big heart, a big personality, and yes—a little bit of work left to do. But don’t let that scare you off! This guy is already potty trained, crate trained, and walks pretty well on a leash (though he may need a few reminders not to zig-zag when he’s excited). At around 2 years old, Magic has plenty of playful energy, especially when meeting new people—but once he settles in, his snuggly, loyal side takes center stage.

Now for the real talk—Magic struggles with meeting strangers, especially in and around the home, and more so with men than women. Away from the house, he generally does better. If a new person can be brave enough to clip on a leash and take a walk, Magic often does a complete 180°—by the second step, he’s suddenly a different dog. His foster has been working with him on his reactivity, and with continued training, this behavior can keep improving.
He’s protective of his people, so slow introductions are a must. He’ll need someone with a little patience and a lot of love—someone who can offer him the structure, leadership, and trust he craves.
